I refuse to believe that pronouns or whatever are the motor of the past half of american history. Tha, people are missing is as that the people we're trying to reach are not within the cone of meaning. E're outside of all our ways of understanding politics and imagining a relationship to them. All we can think of when we think of doing politics is arrayed around the actions of our political system. They act first. We react because we have no power. That is how we have to orient ourselves. And that means that we can onlyorient ourselves around a a public ritual, and not issues, but framing of issues that is not illegible outside, but disregarded outside.
Featuring Matt Christman on how American history brought us to this awful present.
