The Work of the Holy Spirit in the Midst of All That

In philippians, says, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. So this presents a, i think, a co operative or participatory understanding of spiritual formation. The holy spirit is 100 set here, available to renew my life,. But my life is conditioned in resistance to the spirit's purposes in many ways. And so i need to do what i can to join in what god is trying to do inside of bhat the spirit's trying to do within me.
