Is Sub-Stack Exploding in Popularity?
Every few weeks there's a high-profile writer who sort of flees their institutional perch and the constraints of that and gets a Sub-stack. Jacob Soboroff: I think from my perspective, there's a few different, maybe economic forces that are all coinciding at once. He says sub-stacks markets itself as an intimate product; it addresses some need to feel like you're part of a smart conversation or you have intimacy in your life through sub-stack. The other thing I imagine another thing about COVID is making it easier for people to opt into thissort of corollary being in a newsroom every day.
