Brand Codes Aren't Just Visual Things

The smell of a McDonald french fry is a code and it's something that happens over time, it gets reinforced. Most companies have more codes than they realize. The challenge is number one, to learn how to keep them interesting and modern and relevant. Louis Vuitton might be the trunk in 2022 because you can't push stoic overhead, it's bulky to carry. If I see black at a concept, I don't think any of those brands, YSL or Balenciaga has other things that they can honor and leverage.
