The biggest win for either party so far was in the Republican held Open Seat contest in Pennsylvania. Democrats control the chamber with the tie-breaking vote of Vice President Kamala Harris. A net flip of even one seat would have given Republicans control of the chamber. But by picking up the Republican seat, that gives Democrats a little cushion.
The midterms weren’t a clear victory for Republicans, and it’s still too early to know who’ll control Congress. Vox’s Andrew Prokop explains.
