The Effects of Stoicism on Wellbeing

I'd like to see stoicism being considered as another third wave CBT. I've directed research on modern stoicism associated with the Aurelius Foundation. And so we're trying to do we've done some initial pilot studies. When people practice stoicism for a week, it does look like their wellbeing increases and they have reduced anger. We test them after a few months and it seems to keep its impact if they've done it for a month. If you retest them after three months, it retains its impact. It seems that a lot of the stoic attitudes and behaviours are very highly correlated with flourishing. So we started to collect some evidence that seems to be the case that
