The Supply and Demand Forces in the Rates Market
The indecision that you're seeing expressed in volatility absolutely has a equity component and a bond component to it. And I think most people would look at the rates market, are we in a recession? Are we not in a Recession? The debt ceiling is theater. I don't have any reason to think that there's a trade there other than the very short term. But when that resolution does come, I feel ultimately if Janet Yellen doesn't top off where she needs to with Treasuries, then equities will rip. That's kind of my gut view. It's like you know, oh God, thank God, Thank God, they sold by what happened just last year.
