You don't know when you're going to be target, even if what you think you are doing is completely legal. You really have to kind of try your best with the tools available to hide what data you have. And as we see nation states break down, this is not just an individual matter, but smaller nation states abused by larger nation states. So properly using privacy tools is, is hyper important. I mean, in an ideal universe, the internet would just use something like nim by default.
