How Pinterest Got Supercharged in 2011 and 2012

The company found early product market fit by leveraging the Facebook Open Graph. Pinterest made everyone sign in with signing with Facebook so that if your friends were already using Pinterest, you could get connected to them and then see what other things they were saving. It was really my job to find another new acquisition loop for the business. And fortunately at that time, we had amassed enough great user-generated content that we could start distributing it to Google to get new users to come in.
