Since 20 12, at least we've seen in the usa, real turn um in what is often called social justice unionism. Librarians see their patrons every day and know when they reproduce a certain mind set, they are going to be confronted with those consequences immediately. In teacher organizing, we often say that like my working conditions an my student's learning conditions. Not their job. And i think it is that kind of horizontal solidarity between people they serve that can really build power for the future.
