How Do You Monitor Response Time?
There are all kinds of things we we nt monitor from an application within an application, or asert. Not just applications, but also services. They have custom health checks depending on what they are. We have services that check on other services and can restart them. And of course, alarms that will alert our s r es, our sight reliability engineers if something happens that needs attention. Sometimes there will be a failure that then starts to cascade. Safe so we have a redundant redis provision in our back end er.
In this episode of Running in Production, Daniele Procida walks us through their cloud platform to manage web apps using Django. 10s of millions of web requests flow through their client’s applications. It’s running on multiple cloud providers and has been up and running since 2015.
