How Did You Write Your First Book?

I wrote a seventy five page version of it, called the executioner's tale. It had a cover designed by one of my students. I printed it at a print shop and i sold a hundred copies, signed and numbered. There's a hundred people out there who have a copy of it, and got their feed back and learned. The only thing i did that had no testing was to put illustrations in the front. That was kind of crazy. And then later thought, wait a second, are people gong to tik? It's a kid's book. But people have really enjoyed the book, so i'm happy it worked out....
