The acetic soil had eliminated all other organic materials like wood and leather. And so it was a question of whether that acitic corrosion could have been so powerful as to totally eliminate all trace of the body. Archaeologists did analyze the chemical make up of the soil in the burial chamber area, and they did find certain amounts of phosphates,. which suggest some organic object, like maybe a human body, might have decomposed there in place.
