The Vision 2030 Plan: A Global Center for Tech

Saudi Arabian officials are courting tech companies to set up operations within Saudi Arabia. The effort is to make Saudi Arabia a global center for tech as part of a plan called the Vision 2030 Plan. Companies that have signed on include Google and Microsoft, both of which are now building cloud centers there. But human rights experts warn that Saudi Arabia has some vague but powerful laws regarding national security.
