What the Dickens Did You Think Of?

Stephen Knight's interpretation of the Charles Dickens classic sees Fion Whitehead as Pip, Olivia Coleman as Miss Havisham and inexplicably Matt Berry as a Mr. Pumblechuck. What's interesting about this is that it's only a match of years ago that our favorite screenwriter, Ferra Phelps, aka Phelps E, wrote a new version of this show. And yet, so is Stephen Knight in a way. I think one of the best things about Peaky Blinders was how it wasn't just ostensibly the story of gangsters in Birmingham but there was so much more going on than that.
