Credit Based Money - What Is It?
When you print money, it's in the process of making a loan, but you print an asset and a liability. So this is credit based money. Before the great financial crisis there was crazy amounts of unsecured debt. That's why these things are below the market rate interest rate. Because they have utility on top of the coupon payment. And that's within this credit base global credit based system that runs on dollars. The Fed raising rates is going to withdraw money out of the economy. But inflation be running hot in that situation. Well, yeah, it's already running hot. I talk about this. Why would you lend money below the rate of inflation? I don't know
