Is There a Difference Between Tens and Aspect?
For some sort of future marking, it's about half and half. For the past, it's slightly more languages have some sort of past marking than do not. English uses present tents with temporal adverbs to mark the future a lot. But even languages that have tents might not use it as often as you think.
