Competition and Choice in the NHS - What's Going to Be Margaret Thatcher's Guiding Light?

It's trying to boost private sector investments, growth, competition from a sort of general economy point of view. I would be really surprised if much of her time, energy and political positioning was on health reform. On the broader question, I don't think these ideas ever go away. I think they swing around about and competition and choice will be one of the debates in public services probably forever.
