ADHD - Is There an Age to Stop Medication?

The only day that I would allow children to not take their medication is Thanksgiving because of the appetite problems. Any side effects such as slow appetite or difficulty falling asleep will get better after a pachal has been on that medication for two weeks or three weeks or four weeks. Do you want to allow your child to develop a poor self-esteem by avoiding medication? They think that's what happens. The longer a child goes with ADHD, who's not being treated, the greater the impact on her self-esteem is.
