The Abduction of Ruth

Ruth Finley, her maiden name is Ruth Smock. She's one of three children. Her parents were pretty strict and they were very stoic. None of the kids were really, they were all encouraged to keep their emotions to themselves. On October 14th, 1946, when Ruth is 16 years old, she comes home from the grocery store and is startled by the sound of the screen door opening behind her.
