How to Train for a Trip

If you're going on a sport climbing trip and you haven't been sport climbing, you should definitely try to get on a rope in that week. My number two pitfall is don't train right up until the trip and don't try to train. It's not an exam that you can like cram for the night before. If I'm training four or five days a week doing something on four or 5 days, my second to last week might be like two days or three short sessions. That's a long or two or two really short sessions.
