Are You Asking Different Kinds of Questions?

University undergraduates tend to ask more ecological and system based questions. So they're asking things like, what is it that actually led to the decline in the first place? And are there habitats being cleared and so on? It's a way of looking at how can we see how people are prepared to deal with real world problems or to approach actual difficult situations. If you use that kind of assessment, then you get a completely different answer out. This is really important for education research because it shows that you can do something to find out about what people know, what people can do.
