Doctors were 'impotent' in the first wave of covid. No vaxcines, no treatments and not even p p e that was fit for purposed. You would go to work every day knowing that you had intensive care beds in your own hospital containing colleagues who had caught covid at work. In my hospital, two parters and a nurse died from covidand we all believeand the evidence suggests, they all caught it at work. Most doctors are control freaks to some extent. We like being able to manipulate nature. That's what medicine is. And our hands were tied. We didn't have any tools. So we had to see over and over again
