The Trapezoidal Shape of the Stone Axe Head

One theory is that the reason they constructed these kind of long trapezoid or sometimes over-ish, but this one's definitely wide at one end and narrower at the other. There's another theory which is that this actually represents the symbolic shape of a stone axe head. But then I don't know whether you can take that tentative idea and attach it to a long barrow because it's such a different shape. And also these monuments were used and revisited by people over generations after generations. So we might be looking for a kind of continuity of thought that they might not have had three generations later.
