Are Leaders Harnessing Myths for Political Control?

Leaders harness myths and religions, like christianity, for political control. I do not think christianity was invented as a form of political control. Miths are politically and intellectually, or emotionally and in various other ways, very potent. The sad and comforting truth is that politicians represent us. Ah, really ind virtually every culture.
