Carbon Management Industry - What Makes You Optimist?
We need to build a carbon management industry from scratch, he says. Carbon removal needs to be in the sort of giga tons scale if we are going to hit a one point five degree celseus future. If you figure it's a hundred dollars a ton, roughly speaking, that hundreds of billions of dollars could be as much as a trillion dollars. But is there going to be a clear glide path from 50 million to a trillion? Or are we going to need some kind of concerted global policy effort?"
