We need to build a carbon management industry from scratch, he says. Carbon removal needs to be in the sort of giga tons scale if we are going to hit a one point five degree celseus future. If you figure it's a hundred dollars a ton, roughly speaking, that hundreds of billions of dollars could be as much as a trillion dollars.
