The Tempest and the Temple
Paul was taken to the theatre in ephesus, but is prevented from entering by his disciples. The craftsman and workmen are angry at paul for defiling the city's temple. They rush to the theatre with gaius and aristarchus who were Paul's companions. A jew named alexander wants to make a defence to the assembly. Their response is to cry out in support of artemis. For almost two hours, finally, the town clerk is able to bring some quiet to the situation. He points out that neither paul nor his companions had committed sacrilege.
