By the mid-1920s Amy simple mcferson was preaching up to 20 sermons a week and her writing was regularly published. On may 18th 1926 amy who was working on a sermon went to the beach at the urging of her mother to take a much needed break from working And she did not return from that swim. The next day a full tilt investigation went into gear with teams of divers scouring the waters in search of clues. One diver actually lost his life in the search effort There was also another fatality when a young woman who had been a member of the church of the four square gospel drowned herself.
