How Did You Get Your First Guitar?

I took guitar lessons for a week or two and I was just like, fuck this. This is boring and my fingers hurt and I'm going to go play. And so I got that guitar and a chord book. It wasn't until I convinced my mom six months later to buy me a guitar, acoustic guitar. My brother John started playing it's picked up a guitar right at the same time. So then we both played constantly. Were you competitive? No, but when we learned how to I remember I learned the solo to hate Joe, Jimmy Hendricks.
