It would actually be more strategic and more moral to try to prevent the bleeding out of a of a country over the course of weeks or months, as opposed to really trying to press for a decisive victory. We have to care about a about returning to the status quo, as we used to say. Yes, sure, let the russians have what it takes, but keep something alive. That's better than be completely wiped out.
