The comedian's father died of pancreatic cancer in 1998. She says she didn't know anything about the rare disease until her show was picked up by charity Pancreatic Cancer UK and they got in touch with her to tell her more information. The podcast has won a number of awards, including one for 'Best New Podcast' Her dad would not have been able to hear it if he'd known how serious his illness was at the time.
