The Importance of Adapting Your Accent

A lot of my listeners and students tell me well I know your accent sounds a little bit more American. My accent has kind of got a little bit of an American trying to it or I say things in a different way. Has your accent become less hard as you'd say that then it was when you lived in Glasgow or have you always had like a softer glass region accent? "I would never use the the contractions that we use in in Scotland when I'm talking to a a Spanish person in English"
