A Visit to the President and Awkward Encounters

Anthony Mary and James Madison visit the White House to meet President Thomas Jefferson, only to find it in disrepair and Jefferson in shabby clothes. Mary and his wife are later humiliated at a dinner, suggesting Jefferson's intentional shaming of Mary.
