Maryland Is Drugged Down and Continues to Bleed?

The blood pool suggests to me that Maryland laid bleeding for a period of time with her head up higher on the bed. And then is drugged down. So that's interesting in terms of a sequence. Is she several blows inflicted on her where she starts to bleed? Does the offender attempt or accomplish a sexual assault at that position? Or do we have where Maryland is killed and then her body is positioned to make it look like a sexual assault? Yeah. I believe so.
