The Senate debate featured calls to increase job seeker, which will now go up $56 a fortnight. But inflation has been a good amount higher than that for some time. So the amendment would have disadvantaged job seeker recipients who are not working at all. Now that the increase is through, is that the income free area going up something you could come back to? Well, to be honest, we're looking right across the board at a range of different areas," he says.
