The Importance of Consensus

I think what I'm trying to get at is this idea that we are more than our stated commitments, right? That our interactions with one another are more than what we might narrate them as if we were simply telling a story about a third person. And that we have, so to speak, blind spots or spaces of where we are extremely contradictory, right? Or where, the professor, by the way, saying this is, contradictions exist within ourselves, but we generally don't notice them as such.
