Antidepressants Can Facilitate the Rewiring of the Brain
Antidepressants do facilitate the rewiring of the brain and so that's why psychotherapy is so important whilst you're on antidepressants because it is conducive to that they support each other. I think there's a there's even some evidence to suggest that being on antidepressants is somewhat protective of neurons which may have neuroprotective effect as well. There's a proportion of people who are a little more unwell than say a GP would see but certainly we need pills for many patients.
