Omega 3 is a type of fat and we often refer to omega 3 as an essential fatty acid. Unlike many other types of fats our bodies actually can't make it yet. Oily fish like mackerel, salmon and anchovies are supposed to be this great source of omega 3. Fish oil capsules are the most commonly taken supplement both for adults and for children in the U.S. globally the industry is believed to be worth around 30 billion dollars.
“Omega 3s,” - we’ve all seen the name Omega 3s advertised on labels from nuts to seeds and even eggs! But are these fats healthy for us, or is this just another food myth?
