If you have multiple instances, it is actually difficult to refactor an application. In that situation, you should probably try to think about a rolling up date. The idea of putting secrets in a public domain 'is something i myself am not comfortable with', he says. Rob: I feel like your applications shouldn't need to have these things in source control.
