Where Do You Get Your Ideas From?
The idea of where do you get your ideas from? It's fascinating and wonderful. I'm not trying to tell anybody else how to write. But the idea is percolated through my brain in my idle way. And then I was sitting in a dentist waiting room and I heard outside the window something I had not heard since I was a child. Rag bone, rag bone, any rags, pots or rags, donkey stone. The whole thing precipitated in my head a few days later. Not all at once, but it must have been there unconsciously brewing. From his experience, it took me just under a year to write it down.
