Isn't It a Catalyst?

Conservative anger is being taken out against just any symbol of liberalism, not really the government directly. It's this kind of weird, backwards thing where you can view, like, attacking progressive things as an attack on the system. So that means like being racist or being homophobic is this rebellion against, you know, the system itself - even though it just ties into all those same systemic issues.
