The Impact of Trump on the Media
Trump didn't change the nature of the media, but it's a fundamentally different environment now. No individual news organization has the power that the networks had 35 or 40 years ago. The New York Times in the Washington Post in the Wall Street Journal are all different and have their own separate culture. But they don't have the power to set the agenda in the way that we used to talk about it. And I think one of the differences today is not simply to seek out friendly outlets, but to quite deliberately hold off, push away others that are deemed not to be so friendly or to be hostile.
