EA and Existential Risk

A big area of difference that I think I have with a lot of effective altruist types is the emphasis on existential risk. This also relates to what I gave as one of the definitions of EA: They're very concerned with moral decisions being legible. So again, this notion that there's something there at the margin, but at the macro level, there's just not a meaningful comparison would be an area where I differ from a lot of Effective Altruists.
