Eliza's 19 66 were kind of in the long seventies here a some people have discussed them. There is some kind of percolating check criticism that, you know, you can find out there that's in the society. Weisenbom existed in a community of other people who were making critical observations about computers and these various technologies at the time. He developed a particular relationship with lewis mumford, who was a critic of technology, but also cities and enometi, many other things.

Paris Marx is joined by Zachary Loeb to discuss the history of tech criticism with a focus on Joseph Weizenbaum and Lewis Mumford, as well as why the techlash is a narrative that suits Silicon Valley.
