Introduction
Air source heat pumps capture thermal energy from the air outside your house and move it inside using electricity. The government has just started offering a grant of £5,000 if you wanted to install a low-carbon heating system like a heat pump instead of a gas combi or oil boiler. But what are the costs involved? And can a heat pump be installed in any property? One of our listeners, Nick Street, wanted to know more.
