In the 13 hundreds, France was a loosely connected group of individual fiefdoms. One of those duchies was normandy, ruled over by the duke of normandy. When england crossed the channel to reclaim it again, some nobles in normandy sided with the english. But one incredibly old family that was always loyal to the french crown was the carouge family. Their long line carried with it a romantic and scandalous history. The story includes references to alleged sexual assault.
