Deuteronomy 21: The Drunken Son
In deuteronomy 21, parents are able to kill their son if it's proven that he's a sluggard and a drunkard. He is not only not helping the family survive, but he's actually endangering the rest of the household by taking away the resources from them. On another level, i think we see this especially with the vocabulary of being stubborn indeuteronomy 21,. It connects with the depiction of israel and the prophets in the old testament. And so we get this second level of meaning around the son.
