The Commitment to Hope Is a Choice
To look at the world is to be tempted by despair. And i think a lot of us are feeling that right now. We have to commit to hope as a choice, as a moral choice or otherwise we're going to become indifferent bystanders who allow terrible things to happen in this world without lifting a finger. It's much easier to talk about this than to really break through those moments of darkness. What would it look like to have a weekly practice of connecting with a friend, to reach for hope together, to share our our despair with one another?
