The Gunkle by Stephen Rollie
Mary Jane by Jessica Anya Blau is about a 14 year old girls coming of age in the 1970s. Stephen Rollie's The Gunkle has an unexpected family tragedy that leaves him with his niece and nephew for the summer. Author Stephen Rowley straddles that line between comedy and I want to say sadness, but it's these real moments that have to deal with mortality or death.
