The article argues that a focus on electoral efforts within this ever-more middle-class party remains the only realistic path to achieving class formation in the United States. In fact, it has become increasingly obvious that the Jacobin editorial staff's preferred strategy has not contributed to the proletarian class formation, but rather is producing a left with a diffuse class character.
